„We have come to serve”

Moldova, April / May 2015 |

„We have come to serve” – these are words I have often heard from the lips of my brothers who have come with me to Moldova. And they were not empty words.

Adam, Zbyszek, Krzysiu and Łukasz were not afraid of any work and were ready to provide much needed help. The main aim of this visit was to support the renovation of the centre for disabled children in Straseni. For four days, with sweat on their brows, they helped in different renovation jobs.

It turned out that our friends who run the centre had been looking for two weeks for builders who could fit four internal doors. When they found out that one of our team had the necessary skills and was able to take on the challenge, their joy knew no end! Without a doubt, as we serve we are both blessed and a blessing!

While our brothers were working hard, I had to attend to matters concerning our current mission work. Talks, tidying up around our Mission House, meetings with the kids who come to our ‘Good News Club’, a visit to the Ministry of Health in Chisinau, as well as many other things, of which there are always many.

One day we went to visit and help a very poor family in the village of Fagureni. Our friends, Żora and Natasza help to look after this family. Despite their own need, they share what they have with others, especially with the disabled, whose lives in Moldova are very hard …

Another day we attended a concert in Chisinau to commemorate Polish Constitution Day, and we met the Polish ambassador in Moldova, Mr Artur Michalski and his wife and son. Sometimes our missionary paths lead to very interesting places and to incredible people …

Thanks to God, this was another successful mission trip! I believe this was also thanks to many other people who were involved, especially in praying for us! Thank you so much to everyone for all kinds of help and sharing your hearts with us!

I would also like to encourage you to consider joining us in our mission work in Moldova. Each of us is called to serve! Together, though in different ways, we can put our hand to amazing works! Glory to God!

I greet all of you warmly, and especially my brothers who accompanied me on my mission adventures, with the words of the Apostle Paul from his letter to the Thessalonians (2 Thess. 3:13), aslo addressing it to myself:

“And as for you brothers, never tire of doing what is good.”
